That Went WELL

Goofball’s Strategy:
Step into a virtual meeting. Smile big. Ignore all social cues. And whatever you do — don’t let the other person speak. Lead every sentence with “I…” and make it loud and proud.
According to Goofball:
If you don’t talk about yourself, how will they know how awesome you are?
If they wanted to be heard, they would’ve scheduled their own call.
Listening is for people without something important to say — and Goofball is always important.
Results:
Zero dialogue. Zero connection.
But Goofball walks away thinking, “That went WELL.”
💡The Real Lesson:
If your goal is to build trust, connection, and business relationships, dominating the conversation is the fastest way to lose them. Listening builds bridges. Goofball builds echo chambers.
Talk less. Ask more. Actually listen.
Don’t be a Goofball.
